Seneca Foods in Rochester, MN is currently seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our team.  Seneca Foods offers an excellent benefit package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, paid time off and much more!  Help us make our Farm Fresh Goodness Great! This position pays $23.86 per hour. Current shift hours are 5:45 pm to 4:30 am.

Responsibilities:

• Every 30 minutes check for the following (net weights, percentages, proper coding, and metal detectors)
• Ensure that the proper product is being used Read sketches and blueprints to determine layout of assigned work
• Work closely with the QC supervisor and shift supervisor in recording proper paperwork and to prepare broker samples
• Monitor equipment operation making any necessary adjustments
• Ensure that GMP’s (General manufacturing Practices) and regulations are being followed and enforced
• Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

• Good communication skills.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Working knowledge of basic measuring devices and machines.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to work extended hours during our peak season.
• Ability to work weekends when needed.

Physical Requirments:

• Ability to lift 25-30 lbs, including up-stairs
• Standing for extended period of time
• Using hands for extended periods of time
• Walking throughout the lab and production environment 
• Bending and kneeling
