Description:

Job Overview:

In the position of Labeling QC/Utility at Seneca Foods, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse. You will be responsible for running de-palletizers, label machines, and casers. As well as safely operating a forklift to move, load, and unload materials and products.  Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will be vital in maintaining our high standards. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner, able to prioritize and complete tasks in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision. Additionally, they should be self-motivated and trustworthy, seeking long-term employment with opportunities for growth.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Labeling and Quality Control:

  • Inspect product labels for accuracy and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with labeling standards and regulations.
  • Document and report any discrepancies or issues.

Utility Duties:

  • Handles reclaim of damaged products.
  • Provide backup forklift support for the Labeling and Warehouse Departments.
  • Perform general GMP clean-up tasks to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Assist with packing, palletizing, and organizing materials.

Equipment Operation:

  • Operate or learn to operate the Can De-palletizer, Label Machine, Caser Machine, Auto Stacker, and P244 inventory system.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of labeling equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment issues.

 

Adaptability and Collaboration:

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Forklift Operation:

  • Must have the ability to train to operate a lift truck.
  • Valid forklift certification and a current Forklift License is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift cased items up to 50 pounds throughout the day.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must understand the layout of warehouses at Payette.
  • Must have working knowledge of, or ability to learn, inventory scanners.
  • Must be familiar with Seneca coding for brite items.
  • Must have basic math skills.
  • Must pay attention to detail and ensure quality standards are met.

  • Must be self-motivated and a team player with the ability to work in many different areas with minimal supervision.
  • Must have a positive approach to job tasks, including excellent punctuality and attendance.

Work Schedule:

  • Availability for a Monday – Friday shift from 6:00 am – 4:30 pm, with overtime as needed based on production and customer requirements.
