Vegetable Seed Processing Employment

Seneca Foods Corporation in Nampa, ID is seeking Full-time and Seasonal production workers for the 2022/23 seed processing season.


Seed harvest receiving – July - October.

Conditioning – July - January.

Packaging – August - April.


Seneca provides safe working conditions, paid overtime over 40 hours per week, 10-hour shifts, and on-the-job training.


Available positions include:

Full-time Maintenance Technician, starting wages up to $28/hr 

Job duties include:
• Fulfill various positions in our seed production facility processing vegetable seeds.
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety policies/procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

Assigned mechanical job duties to maintain and repair seed processing equipment. Completes required repairs during the harvest season to ensure equipment stays running. Overhaul and repair plant equipment during non-harvest periods to be ready for the next harvest season.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Inspect, repair, maintain machinery, and equipment throughout the facility.
  • Trouble shoot, repair, and replace machinery as required.
  • Read sketches and blueprints to determine layout of assigned work.
  • Assist in the design, fabrication, welding, and installation of equipment as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and PM completed.
  • Monitor equipment operation making any necessary adjustments.
  • Requests parts and supplies for the completion of assigned projects.
  • Some post-high school education or training is beneficial.
  • Perform other work as assigned.

  • Frequent standing and walking
  • Occasional climbing, bending, stooping, and twisting
  • Frequent lifting and/or pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds
