Canteen Lead

Seneca also provides vegetable products to other companies under various co-pack arrangements.

Seneca Foods Corporation of Montgomery, MN, a food production and distribution center, is currently seeking a Canteen Lead.

Job Responsibilities:

• Daily meal planning
• Assistance in planning and accommodating meals for large group gatherings
• Preparing and cooking meals
• Ordering all food, beverages, utensils, canteen supplies, etc.
• Buying local produce and other fresh foods
• Organizing and submitting till receipts
• Acting as cashier when needed
• Maintaining kitchen equipment
• Creating and maintaining a food-safe environment
• Supervising and training a staff of 10 seasonal employees
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: 

• Willingness and ability to function in a team environment
• Good communication skills
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to obtain Food Service Manager and/or ServSafe certifications if needed
• Experience in the food industry is helpful but not required
