The Opportunity:
Seneca Foods is seeking an experienced and results-driven Foodservice National Account Sales Manager to manage and grow business with national restaurant chains. This position will be responsible for building strategic customer relationships, identifying and executing new business opportunities, managing pricing and contracts, and driving sales growth across key accounts.
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, organized sales professional with experience managing strategic customer relationships within the food service industry. This individual will play a critical role in driving sales growth, expanding menu and product penetration, and developing new business opportunities with national and regional restaurant chains.
This role is fully remote and from a geographic standpoint respective to business needs, we are ideally seeking a candidate that legally resides in the state of Texas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow a portfolio of national and regional chain accounts, building strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and strategic partners.
- Develop and execute annual account plans, sales forecasts, and strategic growth initiatives aligned with company objectives and customer priorities.
- Identify and pursue new account opportunities while expanding product penetration, menu placements, and distribution within existing customers.
- Identify and execute Limited-Time Offers (LTOs), menu innovation, new item placements, and category expansion initiatives that drive incremental sales growth and strengthen strategic customer relationships.
- Lead customer business reviews, growth planning sessions, product presentations, and new business discussions.
- Manage the sales process from initial opportunity and product evaluation through implementation, and ongoing account management.
- Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, annual agreements, and manage volume commitments.
- Develop accurate sales forecasts and analyze sales trends, volume, market conditions, and customer performance to identify risks and growth opportunities.
- Monitor restaurant industry trends, competitive activity, customer initiatives, and emerging market opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support customer initiatives, product launches, and successful execution of account programs.
- Represent Seneca Foods at customer meetings, industry events, trade shows, and other relevant foodservice functions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of progressive sales and national account management experience within the foodservice industry.
- Proven track record of securing new national account business while growing and expanding existing strategic accounts.
- Established relationships with key decision-makers within national restaurant chains and the broader foodservice industry.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze sales performance, identify growth opportunities, and develop effective account strategies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively engage customers at multiple levels of an organization.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple accounts, projects, customer requests, and priorities simultaneously.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% to support customer meetings, business reviews, trade shows, and other sales activities.
