Department: Shipping

Position Type: Full-Time

Hours: 2pm-10:30pm Monday- Friday (Hours may vary, some Saturdays required)

Pay:  $23.94

What You’ll Be Doing

• Unload, load, transfer, and stack finished goods and supplies to and from trucks

• Interprets shipping order or receiving report to determine item(s) to be (un)loaded

• Completes pre-load inspection and BOL

• Ability to stack and unstack pallets of products in rows, and up to 5 high

• Checks product for quality, accuracy, and proper shipping information

• Scan all ticket movement and maintain FIFO according to scanning system

• Daily inspection of forklift before operating; ensures batteries are charged and maintained

• Complies with proper weight distribution and load security on rail cars and trucks

• Able to operate both propane and battery counter-balance lift trucks as well as standup lift trucks

• Maintain good housekeeping in department and warehouses

• Other duties as assigned or required by Management

What You Bring to the Table

• Pass forklift written test and driving test

• Ability to communicate effectively

• Ability to read and write English

• Some mechanical skills

• High School or equivalent preferred

The Work Environment

Exposure to wet/humid conditions and extreme heat/cold. Some high noise levels and moving mechanical parts.  Exposure to brine, bleach, and cleaning chemicals.

Must wear proper PPE such as bump cap, eye and ear protection, gloves, to ensure your safety as well as protecting the quality of our products.

Strong communication skills are essential, as the role involves regular interaction with team members across departments.
