Custom Applicator

Custom Applicator

 A spray applicator will be responsible for operating and maintaining all equipment and vehicles used for mixing, loading, and applying crop protection products. They will be responsible for loading all crop protection products used on a day-to-day basis and keeping application/spray records of products applied. They will be responsible for mixing products and understanding compatibility with other mixed products and following all company, state, and federal rules and regulations. The applicator will communicate with Farm Managers and other farm employees on progress to help our operation stay efficient throughout the growing season.

 Essential Job Functions

• Operation of application and related support equipment to mix/load/apply crop protection products

• Ability to operate monitors/computers on equipment and troubleshoot issues.

• Calibrate equipment for proper application of products.

• Clean and maintain equipment.

• Attention to detail and record accurate spray/application records.

• Operating other larger equipment

• Willingness to learn - Technical Training in the field.

Additional Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain equipment in other areas when needed.

• Good record keeping skills.

• Assist location maintenance staff.

• Weed identification.

• Ensure that GMP’s (General Manufacturing Practices), safety rules and regulations along with company policies and procedures are followed.

• Work in conjunction with managers and other farm employees to maintain an efficient day-to[1]day operation.

• Other duties assigned

 Qualifications

• Three (3) to Five (5) years self-propelled sprayer experience preferred.

• High School diploma/GED required.

• Agricultural background preferred.

• Valid driver license & applicable endorsement(s)

• CDL or ability to obtain.

• Commercial Pesticide Applicator License Require
