Plant Electrician

Assigned mechanical job duties to maintain and repair food processing equipment. Completes repairs during the processing season to meet production goals. Overhaul and install plant equipment during non-production periods to be ready for the next scheduled production run.

Responsibilities:

• Installing & maintaining plant equipment to meet specifications & regulations.
• Repair & trouble shooting of electrical wiring, PLC’s, controllers, lighting controls & electrical motors in a production environment.
• Maintain cost control over equipment & supplies for budget.
• Ensure that General Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), safety rules & regulations are being followed & enforced.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 2-year vocational electrical degree and/or previous experience in 480/3 phase.
• Good electrical mechanical repair & trouble shooting skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Willingness & ability to work & function in a team environment.
• Attention to detail & accuracy.
