Controller/Cost Accountant

Responsibilities will include being actively engaged in the cost accounting for the Warehouse and Plant Operations. As a valued management team member, the candidates will report and forecast spending, production, costs, and variances. Accurate cost, inventory control, attention to detail and solid time management skills are critical to this position. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform accounting assigments in an accurate and timely manner
• Oversee all plant accounting functions and supervises accounting staff
• Financial Reporting
• Rep Items/Daily and weekly review and reporting of plant productions
• Responsible for inventory, including annual physical inventory count
• Preparing and approving General Journal entries
• Account Reconciliations and Audit schedules
• Financial Planning and Analysis
• Reconciling supply and FG inventories and overseeing physical inventories
• Analyze spending variances and report projections throughout the fiscal year
• Preparing various periodic reports

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, concepts, and processes
• Excellent computer and math skills
• Experience with MS Excel
• Detail oriented, analytical and have ability to multi-task
• Good communication (written and verbal) and supervisory skills
• BS in Accounting or equivalent work experience
• 3-5 years of accounting experience preferred
• Costing experience preferred

PAY RANGE:

Wage range based on skills, abilities and experience from $80,000-$90,000 Annually
