Position Summary

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of gas power forklifts to and from various departments.

Observe all Company work, safety and GMP issues.

Essential Functions or Duties

Essential Functions, Responsibilities, or Job Duties 

• Ability to stack and unstack pallets of products in rows up to 5 high.     
• Unload, load, transfer and stack finished goods and supplies from trucks, etc,              
• Interprets shipping order or receiving report to determine item to be (un)loaded           
• Checks product for quality and proper shipping information            
• Track, input, change, and update data of inventory.            
• Monitors and enforces company policies and procedures.           
• Maintains general housekeeping
• Monitor warehouse rows for straightness and leaning.     
• Complete all required documentation and verify counts on goods received and shipped.      
• Daily inspection of vehicle before operating, corrects any low fluid levels.
• Complies with proper weight distribution on rail cars and trucks              

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write the English language.
• Ability to pass Forklift Certification test.
• Basic knowledge of forklift.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Requires good judgment and decision making skills.
• Requires good vision.

Education - These qualifications are most typically, but not exclusively, associated with a minimum education of:

High School Diploma

Physical Requirements

Must have the ability to sit, stand, reach, push, pull, twist, squat, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.  

Working Conditions

Indoor and outdoor exposures, along with hot and cold weather, machinery and forklift noise, moving equipment and wet floors.  Minimal chemical exposure and nuisance dusts.
